I'm Still Fighting

9 days...

I'm feeling a little bit better today, but not tremendously so.  I just completed another practice MCAT exam.  This time I scored a more respectable 28 (9, 10, 9).  Since I now have two AAMC practice exams under my belt, I now have a better understanding of where my deficiencies lie.  Hopefully I have enough time to continue this, albeit short, upward swing.  Hell... if I can improve by three points each exam that would surely be something to write about now wouldn't it!

This exam wants to beat me.  But I'm a fighter.  I will fight to the bitter end.  It will not beat me.

"One of the most difficult things everyone has to learn is that for your entire life you must keep fighting and adjusting if you hope to survive.  No matter who you are or what your position is you must keep fighting for whatever it is you desire to achieve."

  1. I'm a new reader that just discovered your blog. Thank you for sharing your story, it's very inspiring. You're going to rock those MCATs. They will not beat you. Keep up the hard work and you'll show the MCAT who is boss!

  2. Bit of firendly advice from a serial pro-crastinator. I see you too much on SDN whereas I feel you should be swotting 24/7 (or what works). Treat this for what its worth.

    1. I will admit I had to look up "swotting" as I'm from the States and had no idea what it meant. But I appreciate the advice. SDN is my outlet. It's how I relieve tension from the day. Trust me, I am swotting more than my fair share, and certainly more than most.

    3. Thanks for the support Serial Procrastinator. I'm working my ass off right now. I really am. I'm cooped up all day with my kids as my wife is working. So the only adult interaction I have throughout the day is either on this blog, or on SDN. SDN and this blog in concert are a huge stress reliever for me. Back to the grind...
